Underbelly Music is a newcomer to the label scene and is based in both Ireland and Australia. Perhaps the A & R is in one location and the label management another - sounds exciting anyway! We are honoured to be able to review the first release on the label from Aussie, Tony Stevens, aka Kultrun. The second release will come from fast rising Maine, USA native Jairus Miller. First up in the two-track EP is the interestingly titled Busty Nurse, a novel name for a progressive house track indeed! This is a neat metallic progressive track in true Aussie prog traditions. An effective melodic hook rises from the main drop out with all the familiar hisses and squeaks. Solid as steel would be a fair summary of this track. Secondly we have Incline, perhaps a more orthodox name for a progressive track! This tune is similar to Bursy Nurse with a solid analogue bassline, but perhaps a little more energetic than its predecessor. Some nice key changes can be found in the tail end of the track to good effect. The first release from Underbelly Music is definitely solid one, which should gain good support from progressive DJs across the globe. I'm looking forward to release number 2 already!
