”The Others EP” from German progressive label, Jetlag Digital, comes from Marcelo Vasami, another notable artist from a growing number of Argentinean progressive producers. The title track, The Others, luckily isn’t as spooky as the film of the same name! It's a methodical progressive builder with sounds and sweeps added in a subtle manner as the track progresses, a dark progressive number, solid enough, but nothing out of the ordinary. Talk to Me is similar to The Others in its arrangement, building in a deliberate and cautious manner. Perhaps a little more imagination in the arrangement would have given Talk to Me more energy and drive, again solid enough, but not groundbreaking in any way. This Marcelo Vasami release is solid enough, but no more than that. Keep an eye out for Federico Giust and Santiago Deep, who’ll provide the next two chapters of the Jetlag Digital catalogue in the coming weeks.
