Jay Lumen - Heureka (Audio Therapy)
Release Date: November 4th, 2008
Reviewed: 5/5
User Rating: 4.7/5

Audio Therapy looks to be reaching out and taking on the freshest names of the progressive scene, clearly their eyes are wide open right now and no doubt they will be grooming the next huge names of the future.

Jay Lumen gets his chance on a label as big as they come, and deservedly so. I was a huge supporter of his "Clear Memories" track, so it's not surprising that this has been snapped up. Regulars here at ProgHouse™ should recognise him, as he's had releases featured on the site for quite a while now.

This new release "Heureka", starting with the original, brings together a more traditional progressive sound with a nice digital, modern edge and is sure to get your crowd rocking. It plugs out a sweet lead as the track gets you shaking. The intro is quite industrial, hardly surprising that a number with this much power might need to let out some steam. For me a track like this offers new excitement to this genre, there's a lot of stuff filtering around here, but produced like a carefully packed suitcase.

DJ Remy & Roland Klinkenberg follow with a more electro vibe added in. Having a real Dutch sound and designed for dancefloor, this mix is gonna see some mad reactions as it races forward with a whole lot of attitude.

Clearly Audio Therapy are looking wider then its UK base. Some huge tunes have had excellent outings on many a lesser known label this year, so it's exciting that a bigger label like AT might be watching. A great thing for dance music, other UK labels take note!
